We met on AOL Instant Messenger while living on separate sides of the country when Billy was 16 and Glaiza was 14. We would message each other daily, and began talking on the phone nightly, for 4-6 hours each day. We did this all through high school, until Billy graduated and moved 3000 miles to be with Glaiza in California.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our families were originally somewhat against our relationship because they were afraid we were missing out on life as a teenager with the long distance. For Billy’s prom, we flew Glaiza and her mom out to Washington DC to go to prom together. Since that day our families saw how in love we were and we have always been supported since. Glaiza got to be the “mystery girl” at prom and Billy (who wasn’t the most popular in high school) had the girl on his arm everyone was talking about.
What would you do with $20,000?We have been together for 25 years, married for 14 years and been trying to have kids for over a decade, unsuccessfully. We have been through many fertility cycles and $20,000 would help us pay off debt from those, and possibly give us one last chance to try for another IVF cycle and start our family.
