How did your love story begin?

Our Love Story Began on Valentine’s Day, 1970… I had just been crowned the DeMolay Sweetheart, and Bill was chosen as my escort for the year’s events. I was 16, he was 18—and from that very first day, something special began to bloom. Over the next two years, our connection deepened into true love. We married in June 1972, and by November, we became proud parents. Bill devoted over 30 years as a pastor in our community church. Now, 53 years later, our hearts are still intertwined with love

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

A Special Memory… When our grandson was born, we were smitten all over again—this time by a tiny bundle who somehow ran the whole house without saying a word. Bill held him and joked, “He’s got my charm and your stubbornness—we’re in trouble!” Watching him grow has been pure joy. Being grandparents is like falling in love all over again, just with more cartoons, fewer rules, and a whole lot more laughter.

What would you do with $20,000?

If We Win… After 53 years of marriage, the greatest gift we could give ourselves is time with the people we love most. With $20,000, we would take our immediate family on an unforgettable vacation within the U.S.—a trip filled with laughter, connection, and memories that would last a lifetime.
