We were on missions to find "the one"--when most our age are in retirement homes. For 3 years I power-dated before Tom became #1--with a smiley face emoji sent via a dating app. Captivated by his smile & pictures of flying, sailing, & race car driving, I thought he'd either not be interested (I'm not the least bit outdoorsy) or break my heart. 6 months later, I still couldn't get past that smile & finally responded, "Sorry it took so long, but here I am!" True love & fireworks since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?More than one: We celebrated Christmas in Las Vegas where we saw Cirque Du Soleil's LOVE (Beatles) show! Huge fans, it was the highlight of our trip which also included dinner at the Vegas "Eiffel Tower." A year later we saw McCartney's "Get Back" tour back home in South Florida. Other faves: Bermuda & Bahamas sailing, helicopter & hot air balloon riding, Broadway plays, & family-fun holidays. It's been 4 1/2 years of bliss! (see Bev on Nailed It! Season 3, Episode 2🤣)
What would you do with $20,000?We love traveling & want to explore the world together in our final years. A dream trip we can't afford on social security is a cruise from Venice to Athens. A theatre geek, I've longed to visit ancient amphitheaters. An adventurer, Tom wants to explore mountains, & caverns. If we could, we'd fit in exploration trips to ancient alien sites. Seriously. Our fave show is "Resident Alien."
