I was working part-time on a film set in Newport, RI, and spent my free days exploring. One evening, I debated going on a 7pm tour at Belcourt Castle. My friend needed the house to herself, so I took it as a sign and went. David, the guide, mentioned he was a documentary filmmaker, and we clicked over our shared love for film. He forgot to text me, so I messaged him first — and that’s how it all began. One bored day turned into the start of our love story.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of my favorite memories is our trip to Aruba — we always laugh that we had our honeymoon first and the marriage after! It was pure joy, sun, and fun. But I also treasure our very first day together, sharing red wine late at night inside Belcourt of Newport. It felt like a scene from a movie — magical, unexpected, and unforgettable.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d put part of it into an education fund for our son Kazimir, some into a Vanguard account to grow our savings, and use the rest to shoot a short film or support the development of my feature film.
