We met when neither of us were looking and have had a love story for the history books
We would like to thank you for supporting Bethany & Shane in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our love story began on a Friday night when I (Bethany) went out to dinner with two of my girlfriends and decided to go to a nearby speakeasy. We walked in and Shane was standing waiting to get a drink. I was immediately enraptured by this 6'5" beautiful man and bought him a drink. We spent the rest of that night together and both knew within a few days that the other was our forever person.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our private elopement ceremony on the Cliffs of Moher witnessed only by the wind, the birds, the officiant, and those capturing our day. We joked when we first started dating that we would elope in Ireland and then take a 30 day European honeymoon. After we got engaged, we realized that we could actually make it happen and chased our shared dream.
What would you do with $20,000?We would pay off some medical debts and contribute to our various savings goals. We also plan to donate to different human rights campaigns and charities.
