I recently proposed by running 500 miles (like the song “I’m gonna be”), our love made that feat possible. So much more to say! :)

Rose and I met while both volunteering our time at an ultramarathon race, the Tahoe 200. We shared late nights and early mornings together while helping runners to accomplish their goals of running 200 miles around Lake Tahoe. By the end of the race, we were planning our first “real” date!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is our recent proposal story. It’s a long memory for both of us, but a little longer for me. I ran from Oregon to the start line of the Tahoe 200 (where we met) and then ran that race and proposed at the finish line, after having ran a total of 520 miles (like the song)! This was the hardest thing i’ve ever done, but it wasn’t that hard because our love drove me through it all! I will be doing another 500 mile run in August(per the song), to say “this effort will never end”!
What would you do with $20,000?We would be so blessed to win that prize! We would put it in our savings to help build our future together. It could help with wedding costs, house down payment, and/or our “future children fund”. We are also interested in creating a nonprofit to help where we can. Long runs like the proposal story will be our method of choice in fundraising! :)
