Connect How did your love story begin?

In our sophomore year of high-school we got each other's snapchat, then one day I called her, forgetting that I met her last year. We hit it off immediately, and after our first date, we knew we had something special. We had our differences, but we liked the same actors, had a similar past, and had a lot of the same friends. It was an instant connection that neither of us expected, and we still laugh about it 2 years later. It's hard to image how our lives would have turned out if I never called

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is the day that I finished basic training. In the Army, they have a thing called family day. It's the day after you finish your training where family and friends can come and tap you out of formation. I remember standing there and watching my parents walk over to me, but onyx wasn't in sight. After they tapped me out, I asked where she was. Just then, she gave me a running hug and my heart instantly melted. The separation was rough, but the moment made it worth it.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would split the money between us and our families, as we both have been struggling. Onyx is starting college, and my family has had a tough time with transportion, since my sister just had a new baby. We need financial support as we step into this new phase in our lives and this money would mean the world to us. We also want to show all young couples out there that you can have a future with the person that you love, no matter how old you are.
