After my husband lost his wife, I was coming up on the year anniversary of my daughter’s passing. I did a memorial and he is a firefighter who remembered the call of my daughter’s crash. He wanted to help me get fundraising out and felt led to do so. We began talking about our losses and had an understanding that no one could understand unless they had walked in the grief of such tragedy. We formed a bond that was unbreakable and within 6 months were engaged and then married 6 months after that.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite would have to be our first trip together. We drove to Atlanta, then to Panama. We both left town in fear we would be judged (by people who thought that he was dating too soon after losing his wife of 9 years). It was our time to really decide if we wanted to be together or not. I have never felt so validated by someone in all my life. We knew without a doubt that we had found something only God himself could weave together. He is and was my good thing and I his.
What would you do with $20,000?Oh me. I have so many answers for that. A small amount I would recreate our first trip. Surprise him 😜 the rest I would pay off debt!
