We met through mutual friends the first weekend he moved to the city to transfer schools. That Friday, a group of us went to a bar in Brooklyn. The next day, we went to a party on Long Island, and the connection was instant—we started talking every day. By the following week, we had three dates in a row and made it official. Six months later, we moved in together and three years later, we're still sharing the same home and continuing to build our story.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

In the spring of 2023, we both started working at a bar near our apartment. One night, after staying for a few drinks, we walked home and spotted a tiny, skinny kitten outside our apartment complex's lobby window. Without hestistation, we acted together, bringing her to safety. It felt like fate—exactly one year to the day since we moved in together. We named her Aliada, after the first restaurant we dined at in our new neighborhood, a perfect reminder of how our little family began.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d likely put the money into savings, focusing on building a strong foundation for our future. While we’re not planning to use the money to travel or to move to a bigger apartment, we dream of taking the next step together—getting engaged and celebrating our commitment. We envision a meaningful ceremony, not extravagant, but surrounded by close family and friends who mean the most to us. It would be a heartfelt gathering to honor our love and the journey we’re starting together.
