Connect How did your love story begin?

On a fateful weekend my best friend and I decided to attend a pride bar crawl. She knew I had a crush on Clayton for years so decided to invite him and tell me later. My plans for that weekend were to party now, worry later. After learning he was invited I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of Clayton but ended up doing just that and he had to drive us all home. He didn't seem to mind and we've been inseparable ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

8 months into us dating we road tripped from Salt Lake City to where he's from in New York. We did Mount Rushmore, Mall of America, you name it. I met all of his family but the absolute best part was just being in the car and having uninterrupted us time. It was just and the lowa corn fields. We talked and talked and I think that's when we decided we could do this for the rest of our lives.

What would you do with $20,000?

We'd like to use it to get married. Weddings are extremely expensive, since our families are from two seperate states one of them will have to travel. He's a full time athlete for US Speed Skating but the organization pays so little it's laughable. I work but I'm in nursing school and also a skater so instead of getting married next year like we had planned we've had to put it on hiatus till further notice. I'd love to be married soon as my grandmother has dementia and I wanted her to be there.
