We met by chance. A friend of a friend. That very first day we met we were both so excited about the renaissance faire. We ended up going together, and it ended up being our first date. Back when I was almost too shy just to hold his hand. We spent all day at the faire, then we had dinner, that almost ended in an ER visit but ended in laughs instead. And hours just sitting in the car in front of his house talking. Our first kiss. It was easily one of the best days of my life.

I cant say I have a favorite memory. Every moment spent laughing like fools in the living room. Dancing in the kitchen. Late night talks laying in bed. How do you pick a favorite memory with your best friend? Because that's who he is. My BEST friend. Through every victory and every tough day. He has seen and supported me through my healing, and I saw him through his darkest days. I cant pick a favorite memory because every moment with him is a gift.

We are planning a wedding! I will be truthful that only a small portion would go towards that. We would absolutely spend some on a lovely honeymoon. But all of the rest would go towards finally finding that perfect home to really put our roots down in. The apartment we've shared for 9 years has been a blessing, but we're ready for something more permanent. Something we can grow in. Maybe even consider starting a family. But ultimately, wherever we end up, I'll just be content to be by his side.
