Connect How did your love story begin?

We met when we were in 7th and 8th grade at our local skating rink, Ambassador, in Clawson, MI. We went to schools across town from each other but had mutual friend groups that all hung out at the same spot each Friday night. We hit it off right away and exchanged phone numbers that night, we have been together ever since. We’ve always known we had something special and this year we celebrated 23 years of being together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

In 2020 before Covid we entered a contest on our favorite radio station Channel 95.5 to "Take the Leap for Leap Year". We WON! We were so excited but just days before the wedding, the world shut down. In 2023 we were planning a courthouse wedding when we had an idea. The skating rink that we had met at is now an incredible store called Leon and Lulu. We asked if we could get married where we first met. The incredible owner and her staff went above and beyond anything we ever could have imagined.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we were lucky enough to win we’d be beyond grateful. We’re expecting a baby girl this August, and this kind of blessing would seriously change our lives, giving us a little extra comfort during such a special and slightly chaotic time. We’d use the money to start saving toward a down payment on a home where we can grow as a family. We know how fortunate we already are, but this would feel like the universe saying, “you got this.” To say it would be the ultimate win would be an understatement.
