Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at a young age, sophomore year in high school to be exact. I am American born and raised here in Sacramento California. My wife Katie is from Ukraine born and raised until they moved here when she was 5. It’s crazy to think of all the things that had to happen in order for us to stumble upon each other in high school. We had two classes together, P.E and English. She was a smart cookie but not very fast in PE. I guess you can say I had all the interest to be a little smarter and slower😂

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I proposed in Disneyland, it was such a beautiful and amazing day. We were so young and it was her first time at Disneyland. I was so nervous especially since I can’t keep any secrets. Yet I had to keep the biggest of all and carry an engagement ring in my wallet for 3 days!! I had to wait for the perfect moment. You can’t always plan it, only prepare. Needless to say, she was surprised and I’ll never forget that day.

What would you do with $20,000?

We are a young hard working young family, with two boys. As mentioned this year we found out after quite a scare that our oldest Luke, 6 years old. Was diagnosed with T1 diabetes. All we want is to thrive as a family, no matter what life throws at us. We really want our own house but it’s been quite difficult because of all the crazy things that have happened like Covid 19, me at one point loosing my job and so much more. This opportunity would bring us that much closer to that goal❤️
