Connect How did your love story begin?

While we were both theater majors, we actually met in a general education class, Math 121. Austin introduced himself and we became fast friends. We would meet outside of class to practice stage combat routines, watch movies, and so on, oblivious to the fact that we would start dating the next semester. One night, we snuck onto the roof of our theater and we had our first kiss. Seven years later, we are happily engaged, proud parents of the world’s best dog, and planning our future together!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Definitely our first date! While we had gone out many times as friends, we didn’t go on a real date until two weeks into dating. It was pouring rain and I had just left dress rehearsals for a goth musical. Austin picked me up from the theatre, apologizing for not checking the weather. We drove to a park and, in one of the gazebos, he had set up a candlelit dinner. Despite my runny emo makeup and Austin’s incredibly soaked shirt, we had the best time. We have spaghetti every anniversary now!

What would you do with $20,000?

If we had $20,000, we would probably get married the very next day! Or, at least, sooner rather than later. Realistically though, we would use $20,000 to give ourselves a strong and financially sound future by paying off our remaining debts and bolstering our savings. We would want to use the funds to help aid in the overall happiness and security of our marriage. Of course, if we have some funds left over, you may catch us swinging around a new pair of righteous swords.
