The real life notebook! At 15 we were each other’s first love. 17 years after our last goodbye we reconnected. We couldn’t be happier.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
MySpace introduced us as teens in 06’. We spent two years in a long distance relationship (Ashley-CA & James-MA). Not knowing how prophetic it would be to our story, we watched The Notebook together over the phone on a 2007 summer night. We met in 2008, spending our freshman summer in love, together with James’s family in MA. A 3000 mile distance pushed us apart; we said goodbye with broken hearts. 17 years later we reconnected. We watched The Notebook side by side holding hands, in love again.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our first reunion we spent a week together in Massachusetts. Every day was like a dream. Baseball at Fenway Park, delicate jellies at Boston’s New England Aquarium, a serendipitous trolley tour, margaritas and tacos, and movies with reclining seats. Best of all was seeing a band called Caravan Palace play at the Royale in Boston, it was heaven on earth.
What would you do with $20,000?Buy a house! As teens we had no say over when and if we would see each other again. At 32 we have our own financial say so; we get to see each other as much as possible. However, the 3000 mile distance dilemma still exists. We are currently working towards saving enough money to blend our worlds by buying a home together on the East Coast. The 20,000 would help build our future together!
