We both had blogs for our favorite tv show “The Fosters” which is about a lesbian couple raising their children. I messaged her one day and we started talking every single day. We would Skype every single night into the early morning, and when we weren’t Skyping we were texting. We were even “shipped” by our blog followers and given the ship name “NESSLEY”. After almost a year Nessa flew from California to Florida to visit me and the rest is history. We’ve now been together for 10 years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory as a couple is the moment our relationship started. We were at Disney World and we’d both spent all day wanting to tell the other how we felt. It was midnight and we were about to leave the park when I (Ashley), grabbed Nessas hand, we kissed and I promptly said “YOLO” because my brain couldn’t form anything coherent at the time. We both broke out into laughter and in that moment we both knew it would be forever.
What would you do with $20,000?We would love to start a family together. Being a LGBT+ couple having a child isn’t as easy as we’d like it to be and with my disability it’s been hard to save enough for the upfront costs of starting a family.
