Quite simply, we enjoy being together. We have similar interests. Being retired teachers, we also love celebrating our former students.
We would like to thank you for supporting April and Briley in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We grew up together and were actually boyfriend-girlfriend in sixth grade. We remained friends through high school and graduated together in 1994. In 2019, we reconnected at an English teacher workshop. The next week, was our class reunion. We hung out and have been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We have a lot of good memories, but our favorite memory is probably being in the stadium to see Ole Miss win the college baseball national championship in 2022. We basically ended up driving 17 hours at the spur of the moment to make it to Omaha, Nebraska. When we left home, we didn’t have tickets to the game, but we managed to scrounge some up when we arrived. It’s an adventure we talk about often, and certainly an experience we will never forget!
What would you do with $20,000?We are a mixed family. One of our daughters is getting married to a wonderful man in November. Some of the money would go toward the wedding. In addition, one of our sons, is a Marine stationed in California. We haven’t seen him since last October. We’d like to use the remainder of the money to fly him home for a visit.
