Connect How did your love story begin?

Anthony used to visit the shop Meta worked at every day, mail or not. He even once told the other girls who worked with her, that she was just his type. Then one snowy January day, he was obviously working, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night” as the usps motto goes, and he offered her a ride home. She thanked him with an invite into her apartment for Chinese takeout and a movie. That night, something sparked—and the rest is a cozy little love story.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Meta was born in Germany but grew up here in the States. Last summer, she and Anthony took a dreamy trip to Europe to visit her dad, who had moved back to Germany. Together they wandered through Italy, which was extra magical for a South Philly Italian like Anthony, and then explored Germany hand in hand. It was his first time out of the country, and sharing pieces of both their cultures made it a trip they’ll always hold close.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won the prize money, we’d put it toward making our house a true forever home. A few years ago, Anthony bought a cozy three-bedroom in East Kensington, Philadelphia, where we now live together. It’s full of charm (and fixer-upper quirks!), and we dream of turning it into the perfect place to grow our little family someday.
