We officially met in college at Morgan State University where we were both music majors. But we often crossed paths without knowing it. We both had many shared circles, lived in the same area, attended the same school(Friendly High School) and even lived in the same dorm room on campus at different times! One day not realizing he and his twin brother shared a phone who I was friends with we began chatting and then began dating after confessing feelings on New Year’s Day and our story began.

Our favorite memory as a couple would be our 10 year vow renewal ceremony in Baltimore. When we first got married is wasn’t legal nationally and very taboo, We dealt with much homophobia, lost our jobs, friends, and the whole wedding had an uncomfortable undertone with people even closing their eyes when we kissed. In 2021 our friends and family helped us redo the experiences we missed the first time from photo shoots, bachelor parties, and a stunning wedding. It was beautiful.

We would love to purchase a home that we could call ours. We’ve been renting all of our lives, never saw home ownership ans a possibility for our future but $20,000 would help us to create a forever home for our family, something we could pass down to our son and complete our American dream!
