Connect How did your love story begin?

It was 2012, before dating apps had taken over the world, and swiping left or right was not yet a thing. We were both brave enough to try eHarmony, which at the time was just long-form emails and chats back and forth; very vintage! He lived in Daytona Beach, and I lived in Orlando. Naturally, we had a “long-distance” relationship. We clicked fast. He tells people that I impressed him with my proper use of a semicolon, and I was impressed with his emotional maturity!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories is finally taking a long-awaited trip to Hawaii together in 2022. Early in our relationship, we bonded over our shared love for the islands; me, being Hawaiian-Filipino with deep family ties, and Anthony, who lived there as a child. In 2022, we spent 10 action-packed days on Oahu, swapping stories and showing each other the places that shaped us.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000 as America's Favorite Couple, we’d be half responsible, half adventurous; just like us. We’re in our travel era, so a portion would go toward a long European river cruise. We would tuck the rest away for retirement, so future us can keep the adventures going long after our working era.
