Anthony (AJ) and I first met during a chance encounter at a department meeting for our undergraduate orientation. He was from Tennessee, and I had lived in Pennsylvania my whole life, yet we ended up in the same major at the same college. After only a week of knowing each other, Anthony had already expressed wanting to get together, but I was hesitant. It wouldn’t be long until he had me falling for him just the same, and we became official on August 29th, 2021.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?In 2023, just a little over a year after we had started our relationship, we planned a trip to Tennessee so I could finally meet his family. Since starting college, he hadn’t been to see that side of his family in years, and I was just as excited to get to know them. Staying in an Airbnb on the outskirts of Nashville, we spent most of the trip exploring the city by foot and e-bike, taking in everything I had never seen before. I fell even more in love with him and his family during this trip.
What would you do with $20,000?With 20,000, we could pay off Anthony’s tuition, and put the rest towards building the life we want together. We constantly talk about how we want to “build things from the ground up,” and plan to settle down somewhere where we can garden and live off the land, all while giving back to our neighbors and community.
