Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began in the summer of 2016, with something as simple, and fated, as a friend request. I added Sarah online, not knowing that single click would forever change the course of my life. What started as casual conversations quickly grew into something deeper. We spent weeks learning each other’s hearts, bonding over our mutual love for The Weeknd’s music, and staying up late talking about everything and nothing at all. I still remember the first time we met in person.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Of all the memories we’ve shared over the years, our hearts always go back to the quiet of Muskoka. One of our favorite memories was in the summer of 2024, when we packed up the car and took a road trip to Muskoka Bible Centre for a weeklong retreat. We’ve always loved road trips, the way they turn time into something slower, more sacred. That week lives in our hearts as more than a memory. It’s a glimpse of the life we want to live every day, side by side.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, we would finally take the next step in our journey and have the wedding we’ve dreamed of; intimate, joyful, and surrounded by the people who’ve supported our love from the beginning. We’d also put part of it toward travel; creating new memories in the places we’ve always talked about visiting (like South America and New York). And of course, we’d use the rest to ease the weight of student debt and set ourselves up for a stronger start to our marriage.
