Annie & Ryan

We balance each other perfectly—he’s steady, I’m spontaneous. We laugh a lot, support each other, and always make it fun.

How did your love story begin?

We met through family and clicked right away. I was in a horrible living situation, feeling stuck and overwhelmed. Ryan, who has cerebral palsy, really got what it’s like to go through hard things and still show up with kindness. He supported me with patience, made me laugh when I needed it most, and helped me feel safe again. We’ve been through a lot, but we always choose each other and that’s what makes us work.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of my favorite memories with Ryan is our trip to Denver, our first time flying together. We were so excited at the airport and held hands through takeoff. Exploring downtown in the freezing weather, trying new food, and wandering through the streets felt like our own little adventure. It wasn’t a fancy trip, but I knew then that anywhere could feel like home if I was there with him.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20K, we’d finally get the things we’ve been dreaming about, like a new bed, a cozy couch, and maybe a weekend getaway. But we’d also be smart about it: saving a chunk for our future, our wedding, and the life we’re building together. It wouldn’t all be about spending, it’d be about setting ourselves up for the kind of life we talk about late at night, with a little fun along the way.
