Our relationship is built on strong commitment and open communication, keeping us connected through every challenge.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met at 14, just before high school. Both from broken homes marked by addiction, we carried pain we didn’t choose. Our first talk was by an old Coke machine—he was a shy nerd with thick glasses; I was the girl kicked out of several schools, full of chaos and little confidence. Somehow, in that small moment, we connected. That was 32 years ago.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our wedding was a simple family potluck in a park, filled with love and generosity. We’ve shared nearly 32 years of love and hardship, raising two sons—one autistic, who taught us patience and unconditional love. We endured many storms, but nothing like losing our 20-year-old son in a tragic motorcycle accident. That loss reshaped us, yet through it all, love remains the only thing keeping us standing.
What would you do with $20,000?We find ourselves longing for a new beginning. Living in Las Vegas, where our son’s life ended, has become a constant reminder of our grief. Every street, every corner holds a memory—some beautiful, but many too painful to carry each day. We want to find a place where our hearts can breathe again. Not to forget him—never that—but to step out from under the shadow of our loss and into a space where healing feels possible.
