A high school senior and a truck driver met in 1982. Fast forward 43 years later- 3 amazing children and a move to AZ- we still have fun!
We would like to thank you for supporting Annie & Buck Barclay in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Annie was a senior in high school, Buck was a cross country truck driver. The Wednesday eve before Thanksgiving in 1982, the two met at a house party and after sharing many stories that night, Buck asked if he could kiss Annie, she said yes. Annie went off to college that following year, 1983 and Buck decided to get his associates degree to follow her down to the University of Illinois. Fast foward to 1991 they married, 1993 welcomed Emma, 1994 Spencer and Benjie in 1997.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Outside of having our 3 amazing adult children and raising them together and the many family vacations, sports/cultural outings and school activities, we started our marriage off by going to Tahiti for almost 2 weeks. We traveled to Bora Bora, Mo’orea and Tahiti. Fresh from a fabulous wedding with family and friends, we enjoyed the peace and beauty of a once in a lifetime trip.
What would you do with $20,000?We would do a family vacation to include our kids and their spouses/plus ones to take a European vacation- possibly Greece, Croatia or Italy!
