Connect How did your love story begin?

My cousin grew up in the town next-door to me and is my best friend. One night she met a guy at a mutual friend’s house and the next time they had a party, she told me to come with her. She had just gotten a puppy and the house was dog friendly so I brought my dog as well. My dog is super picky with people and is stuck to me like Velcro, but one guy at the party picked him up, and my dog immediately relaxed in his arms and fell asleep. We ended up talking all night.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

That same first night we all ended up passing out at that house. The next morning he asked me for a ride and to put my phone number in his phone. It was some weird android I had never seen before. He also wore terrible clothes. In all honesty, I thought he may have been homeless. But he found out my birthday was coming up and he told me he wanted to take me out for my birthday. At this point, I still thought he was homeless, but I was in a bit of a rut so I gave him a shot.

What would you do with $20,000?

So for my birthday, he took me out to dinner, followed by a movie theater date where he rented out the entire theater and so it was just a private screening for us, followed by a surprise party with all of our friends. That was our first date and probably one of my favorite memories. With $20,000 we would probably travel. We have been on a safari in Tanzania. We traveled to Bora Bora. We’ve been to Japan, Thailand, Amsterdam and Mexico together. We also just had our first baby boy.
