Connect How did your love story begin?

We each joined a community improv group. Brett because he wanted to hone his acting skills to help his career as a voice actor, and Annabeth, because she was new to the city and had enjoyed improv experiences in the past. Annabeth asked Brett to drinks, but then got COVID. After isolation, we had that first date and stayed out so late just talking and walking around that Annabeth missed the last train home and Brett brought her to her car. We then made it official after a Halloween party.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Exploring Tokyo as a couple. We recently had the amazing opportunity to visit Tokyo together and explore many of its sights and local foods. We had a wonderful time running around the Disney parks together, sharing food in izakayas, and spending a romantic day at Enoshima. Brett proposed in front of a love dragon on an island enshrined to love. It was an incredibly heartfelt and beautiful proposal set against the backdrop of the Pacific and an amazing Japanese legend.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would travel internationally together. We've just gotten engaged and plan to spend our honeymoon in Italy, but we also intend to travel the world together. Brett has gotten Annabeth into Star Wars, and they plan to visit many of the sites in the movies together to live out a Star Wars fantasy and see other countries. We would use this money to go towards our travels, most likely our honeymoon, to continue our globetrotting lives together.
