We met in Italy. He was in the Italian army and I was there on vacation. He was home on leave. We met at a friend's wedding. As soon as we saw each other, we knew that we were meant to be together. Unfortunately, I had to return home to the United States and he had to return to his duty. We wrote and called each other for almost a year. It was tough, but we didn't give up. He finally came to the United States. We got married three months later and here we are 50 years together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Having our three children.
What would you do with $20,000?We never took a honeymoon because we had no money at that time. We would like to take a really nice family vacation for our 50th anniversary in September. We can't afford to take the whole family together.
