I grew up best friends with his sister but never met him, as I wasn’t allowed out much. Years later, as a young adult and single mom, I reconnected with her. One day we ran to HEB for a BBQ last min pickup, and he came over. The moment we met, something sparked. We stayed up talking all night and all weekend while I was house-sitting with her. From that weekend on, we’ve been inseparable. Twenty-four years later, our love has built a beautiful, blended family.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory isn’t just one moment—it’s the journey. We’ve been through life’s ups and downs, faced challenges, and grew stronger together. Starting from nothing and building a life side by side has been our greatest adventure. What makes it even more special is sharing those experiences with our kids and using our story to inspire and help others. The love we’ve built along the way is our most treasured memory.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use the $20,000 for a dream vacation to places we’ve only imagined—those destinations that are usually out of reach because of cost. While we’ve traveled before, this would allow us to experience something truly special as a family. After years of hard work and raising a blended family, it would mean so much to explore the world together.
