We met online after both leaving toxic relationships. With so many great memories—like when we each proposed or adopting our double front amputee, Nubbz—but a standout is our first trip together, going to Eleuthera. Our rental car broke down in the middle of nowhere, and we had to walk back to our Airbnb in the dark. It wasn’t ideal, but in the moonlight, it turned into a quiet, simple night we’ll never forget. A perfect start to a lifetime of adventures together. Since then, we've seen some amazing places, but love our simple nights at home.

We would finally finish renovating our home. We bought a 100-year-old Tudor and had to deal with a brutal renovation after our first contractor ruined our house and stole money. We had to spend a lot more than planned to fix what he damaged, creating a space that reflects our love and hard work. Plus, it would help Andrew finish his Master’s program to become a Nurse Practitioner with less student debt. This prize would help us build both our dream home and our future together.
