Connect How did your love story begin?

We were both young and naive kids in high school. During freshman year, we were both on a school band trip and we rode the same bus to our destination. We both had a Nintendo DS and back then you could link up with local people and send drawings back and forth. That's how we met, sending silly doodles back and forth. Sophomore year rolled around and we were placed near each other on the field in marching band. He thought I was pretty and he made me laugh. We started dating and soon fell in love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

His proposal. It was a mess and it was all my fault. We were in my bedroom and he got down on one knee and I was oblivious to what was happening. In my normal dorky fashion, I pulled out my coin collection to show him while he was still down on his knee. He patiently waited for me to end my rambling and when I did he finally had the chance to ask me to marry him. Of course, I said yes! This is also my most embarrassing memory and the one he likes to make fun of me the most for.

What would you do with $20,000?

Andrew currently works two jobs, one for his family and he also owns a guitar pick business with his brother. He works hard so that I can stay home with our three children and homeschool. Our home has a sunroom that is closed off from the rest of the house because it is not heated or cooled along with other issues. It needs to be completely tore down and remodeled. With $20,000 we would be able to afford to have it fixed and it would make the perfect space for a homeschool room for our kids.
