Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in Abiquiu, New Mexico on top of a mesa, living 1/3 of a mile from each other. We started out as friends, going to the farmer’s market, messaging on Facebook. He helped me out on some projects at my house. Last Summer Solstice eve, I lit a heart candle and went to bed. As the rain hit the metal roof, I remember thinking how nice it would be to be snuggled up in bed with a man. The next morning, Larry had messaged me, wanting to know if I was interested in starting a relationship.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of the first crazy, spontaneous thing we did was to spend 5 days in San Diego. Larry invited me to stay with him and his son's family in an Air BnB. We had not even spent a night together and I said yes! He drove out with his family and I flew in a few days later. We hung out day and night and got to know each other...super fast. No dating, just diving in. So I suppose my favorite memory will always be the open and honest conversations that we have as grow this relationship into the future.

What would you do with $20,000?

Larry and I both share a love for California. His grandmother lived there and he spent summers there as a kid. I lived in LA during my 20s and for a while about 10 years ago. If we won this contest, I think we would buy a small piece of land in Shelter Cove, CA and start a mushroom farm. Probably live in a trailer to start and then build a small cabin. I know it seems crazy, but everyone deserves a Third Act!
