What makes our love special is that we're opposites, but sometimes we're the same. Either way, we still feel free next to each other.

Our love story began in 2019, but our friendship story started in 2015 when we met at art school in Chicago—great friends but nothing more. We dated others, but privately thought, “What if?” Eventually, André left for NYC to continue school, but couldn’t stop thinking about the girl who was hot and felt like home. (We’re both from St. Louis—important detail!!) This feeling grew until in 2019, he flew us to a music festival and confessed his love on the beach. We've been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Traveling to two continents in one month was our craziest adventure yet. First, we left New Year’s Eve 2024 for Nairobi, Kenya, so he could meet my sister, who’s been living there since 2016. We just got engaged, and he’d never been to Africa, so it was really special. Next, we traveled to Brazil to visit André’s cousin and wife, who were living in São Paulo for a corporate assignment. We'd never been to South America before and loved experiencing something new together. That month was unreal.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use this money for two major milestones: our wedding and our first home. This 20k would grant us much relief as we want to give our wedding guests our best. Additionally, buying a home with a studio is essential for us to continue our creative practices. We’ve both moved a lot for school and did long distance for over half our relationship. We need a home base to activate and to be still. We want a space that holds all our peace, our stories, our design sensibilities, and our future.
