Our love story began during the pandemic. However the real love story began when my grandfather got sick. Love isn't about who shows up for you during happy times its about who shows up for you in your darkest hour. Joe and I along with our puppy left our apartment and moved with my grandmother to care for my terminally ill grandfather. Joe cared for my grandfather with dignity, tenderness, love and care all the way to the end. It was in those raw vulnerable moments that I knew Joe was the one.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory with Joe was climbing Dunn’s River waterfall in Jamaica and then visiting the home of Bob Marley. It was such a healing trip. There’s no greater peace than being on an island with the love of your life.
What would you do with $20,000?I was raised by my beautiful grandparents. When they passed away they left me my childhood home which was built in the 1940s. The home needs a lot of work done. We would use the prize money to renovate and make the home our own.
