Connect How did your love story begin?

Back in November, 2016, Amanda was heading to Australia to run a half marathon up a mountain in Tasmania and Aaron was flying there for a wedding. As Amanda boarded the plane, the bag storage was pretty full. Aaron, already seated, suggested the auburn-haired beauty put her luggage in the compartment that she just passed. She did, and as fate would have it, she was sitting in the window seat of the same row Aaron was sitting in. Aaron took the opportunity to talk to her - and here they are now!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have so many amazing memories, from our 4am Grand Central station photoshoot, to running a Half Marathon together in Antarctica to riding a hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. But we'd have to say our favorite memory was just last April, when we wanted to see both the solar eclipse and the NCAA National Championship in the same day. We flew all the way to Dallas to see the eclipse, then raced back to DFW airport and flew to Phoenix, getting to our seats just before tipoff!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would book an amazing trip to Africa during the great migration, as we both love nature and seeing things that we can't or don't get to see in our daily lives in NYC. We'd watch the herds cross the Mara River from Serengeti National Park into Masai Mara Reserve, then go on a safari and try to get a glimpse of the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and African buffalo). And finally we'd go gorilla trekking in Rwanda to round out our African getaway!
