Our love story began in high school—me in grade 10, him in grade 11. Our friend groups merged, and we added each other on Snapchat. I asked him to hang out on Halloween, and we went to a party and trick-or-treated. He was a true gentleman, making sure I avoided puddles and giving me all his candy. That night, we fell completely in love and have been inseparable ever since.

We have so many favorite memories, but one that stands out is getting our first apartment together. That first night, we sat on the floor of our new living room, eating DoorDashed sushi and watching Big Mouth; his favourite show. The smell of our new place, the excitement of starting fresh, and the comfort of having each other made it truly unforgettable.

$9,000 would cover 3 months of living expenses, helping us avoid living paycheck to paycheck. $7,500 would go into a high-interest savings account for our future home. $2,500 would go towards a second hand vehicle so we can have our own transportation. The final $1,000 we’d split for spending money—finally able to treat ourselves to some things we’ve been too financially strapped to afford. This would be an incredible help to us and our future!
