Completely unexpected. We were friends for five years - rock climbing, slacklining, cycling, goofing off, and adventuring - before any romantic feelings. Then it hit us: we made an incredible team. After owning our past relationship mistakes, we both committed to doing things differently. This love grew out of friendship, shared values, and a mutual desire to be better partners and better people.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Bikepacking across the country from Maine to San Diego - right after thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail - was the wildest, most unforgettable experience. We carried everything we needed, relied on each other completely, and lived every mile side by side. That challenging adventure bonded us in the best way. It showed us we could take on anything - as long as we did it together.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d invest in the future we’re building - starting with fertility treatments as we try for a little one. It’s not an easy road, but it’s one we’re walking with love, honesty, and hope. If there’s anything left, we’d mark the moment with an adventure, just the two of us or with baby - reflecting on how far we’ve come. This would help us build a life full of love, growth, and memories we’ll tell our future kid about someday.
