We met working in Venice Beach at a restaurant called The Rose. Leo asked me on a date in October 2018 to a Lakers game….. in December. We remained friends at work and grew to really just like and respect the other. We moved in together March of 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. During quarantine we grew closer than ever. Neither one of us was looking for a relationship, let alone marriage, but we fell in love and were married within two years at an Arizona courthouse August 4, 2020.

We have been to Japan, Mexico, Hawaii, in addition to all over the rest of the country. There are so many memories, but our favorite memory is celebrating our marriage 1 year later (2021) with a wedding “reception” with all our closest friends and family. It was such a beautiful day with all the people who know knew us before and after we were a couple.

Leo made the brave decision to quit our industry and go back to school full-time at 34 and he will graduate in September as a Respiratory Therapist. We depleted our entire savings to do this and there is still some student debt. We have been living off one salary for two years and I’d love to be able to minimize his student debt so that we can get back to saving for our future. He is an “A” student and I’m so proud of him!!
