Connect How did your love story begin?

My dad suggested Tinder as I lacked the time for "typical dating." I quickly matched with Eric, drawn to his photo with a giant plate of nachos (& the subsequent one where they were gone, & he was extra sweaty!). I remember thinking, "This boy can eat!" His cheesy opener, "Looks like you're 42 miles away. I thought Heaven would be a lot further," hooked me right then & there. Just one day on Tinder brought me the love of my life. A decade later & we're just as cheesy & fun-loving as ever!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

As lifelong Michigan Wolverine fans & alumni (Eric), our favorite memory is a spontaneous trip to the Rose Bowl 2023 in Pasadena. For diehard sports fanatics like us, witnessing Michigan Football beat Alabama in overtime on the very last play of the game, was a magical moment we will always remember. The maize and blue confetti rained over us as we chanted, “IT’S GREAT. TO BE. A MICHIGAN WOLVERINE.” I swear, Eric cried more that day than he did on our wedding day - & I don’t blame him! GO BLUE!

What would you do with $20,000?

Since I love to plan, we’ve already sorted what we'd do with $20k. First, we’d use $5k to support my dad's cancer GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/b94bdba1), as he's not only our matchmaker, but my first best friend. Another $5k would go towards a new-ish car to replace my aging yet enduring 2009 Ford Fusion, Susan. We'd then put $5k aside for sporting events, fueling our competitive spirit. We’d dedicate the last $5k to travel, helping us reach our goal of seeing all 50 states by the time we’re 50!
