Once upon a time in the heart of the woods, a Prince crossed paths with…an Evil Stepsister. It was a production of Into the Woods (with perhaps a touch of typecasting?). When he arrived late - to the read through, I felt it - a shift in the forest air! Naturally, I booted Little Red from her chair (evil perks) and offered it to him. What can I say? Stage villains get stuff done. From that moment 34 yrs ago, our story began, and we’ve been living our happily-ever-after ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After so many years together, choosing one favorite memory is hard—but our first vacation always stands out. We were young, broke, and thrilled to spend a whole week in a tiny mountain cabin. We cooked chili, read books, and hiked golden trails. It was simple and perfect. That trip taught us the joy of quiet moments together—a rhythm that still echoes through everything we’ve built since.
What would you do with $20,000?Winning would be a fairytale—though does anyone really get two? But real life comes with real debt, so we’d turn this treasure into tuition and slay the dragon of college loans. Glamorous? Not exactly. But life isn’t always about the glitter; fun, after all, is in the eye of the beholder. And this? This is our happily ever after.
