She was the bar director at the restaurant I worked at for 3 weeks. The first thing I said to her was, why don't servers garnish their own cocktails? Then I left and spent the next year sitting in front of her at the bar, and then eventually crawling over the bar towards her. And here we are 8 years later.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?When I took her to my home state of Maine and we spent a week driving up the coast and going to different oyster farms and shucking along the damarscotta river. Now it's a tradition that we get 100 oysters every New Year's Eve and shuck them all night.
What would you do with $20,000?Her mom moved out to Pennsylvania 36 years ago and started a small farm. Now all the animals are all gone except for some ducks. She is old now and the property needs so much love and upkeep and I'm afraid there are projects that will never get done before she passes away. So the money would go towards helping her see those things happen before she dies.
