Connect How did your love story begin?

We met freshman year of college, living just a few doors apart in our dorm. We noticed each other right away, but were too shy to make a move. What we didn’t know was that our mutual friend had been playing cupid, quietly collecting confessions from us both. One unexpected night, she set us up, and before we knew it, we were finding excuses to run into each other in the halls every chance we got.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory together our first “I love you.” Our relationship had recently begun and we were feeling all those butterflies, and knew that this was something special. There were many instances where both of us almost said it, but our nerves got the best of us. One day, after running to the car as it started to rain, we sat in the back seat and listened to the thunder. Mesmerized by the sounds, Alexa said “I love the rain," and Luis whispered back “I love you."

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000, we’d use it to help pay for graduate school and make our dream move to Chicago a reality. We’ve supported each other through college and now through the next chapter, starting our careers and continuing our education. This would help us build a future together in a city we’ve always dreamed of calling home. It’s more than just a move, it’s the start of the life we’re excited to create together.
