It all began the moment he walked into my family’s home for the first time ever, with his family when I was just 16 years old. His family and my family had known each other for many years but had lost touch when my parents left Iraq and immigrated to the US. When him and his family finally made it to the US our families had a reunion and that’s when we met for the first time. There was an immediate connection between him and I, I just knew he would be the man I wanted to be with forever.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I’m sure everyone says this, but in 25 years we have made so many memories together that it’s hard to choose just one. If I absolutely have to choose it would be our wedding day. The way we felt that day and all the love that surrounded that day will never be forgotten. That is a memory that will forever live in our hearts and minds!
What would you do with $20,000?Our most favorite thing to do is travel and I think we could make some more amazing memories using the money to travel somewhere we’ve never been before!
