Connect How did your love story begin?

At a small college in Syracuse, NY, two unsuspecting freshmen bumped into each other at a house party. In the coming months, the boy continued to find excuses to run into the girl. This included waking up early to pass by her in the gym, inviting her to various college clubs, and ensuring that she sat next to him in jazz band. Pretty soon, romance blossomed and we became inseparable. Three graduations, three apartments, one cat, & countless memories later, we are finally tying the knot!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

In November of 2023, Alex ran in the New York City Marathon in honor of my late father. My dad sadly passed from brain cancer in 2021, so Alex was chosen to run with team StacheStrong and raised over $4,000 to aid in brain cancer research. Although we wish Dad could have been there, it was something special to follow Alex around the city as he ran 26.2 miles in a total act of love. I have never felt so proud of him. We had the most wonderful weekend in the city.

What would you do with $20,000?

Alex and I have a large wedding planned for August of this year. After I walk down the aisle, (to the Jurassic Park theme, it was mine & Dad’s favorite movie) we hope to honeymoon in St. Lucia. This $20,000 would help to pay for our special day and our honeymoon. It would make a world of difference.
