We met in 1997 on a blind date. We got married in 1999 at the tag office in the mall by a deputy clerk who we tipped $20. Still hitched.
We would like to thank you for supporting Alex and Tim Shaw in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I'm a nurse and one of my fellow nurse's at the hospital had been dating a guy for over a year that she was crazy about. She would go on and on about him. She called me at home on my day off and asked if I would go on a date with her man's younger brother. I agreed so we met at the mall the next evening and went out to dinner and to a movie. My husband said that his mother asked him how his date went that night. He told her "I'm going to marry her".
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I've been there when my husband was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at age 39, and had a widow maker heart attack at age 51. In sickness and in health has made our love and commitment stronger than ever.
What would you do with $20,000?We never really had a honeymoon 26 years ago so I would really like to have an ultimate vacation experience. We both love the ocean so somewhere tropical would be nice.
