We met on Tinder, which we have no shame in admitting, we find it hilarious. After a month of talking, our first date was at an NHL rookie training camp and it was captured on the team's social media, so we have documentation of that for the rest of our lives. Not even 2 months into our relationship, I found out my mum's cancer was back and she had a year tops. He was my support throughout the whole thing all the way through to her stay in hospice & the funeral. We did all the hard stuff first.

I could take the easy way out and say our wedding, which was at an aquarium and amazing, but there's no memory I can really pinpoint as the standalone favorite. We've made so many amazing memories together. I could say tour first roadtrip up to Vermont for a friend's wedding, our first mini vacation to Knoebels Amusement Park which started a tradition, countless concerts and adventures, going digging for fossils because I never left my dinosaur phase, his proposal, the list continues to grow.

While I wish I could say we'd use it for the downpayment on a house or a big amazing vacation, or some dream purchase. We would use it to help pay off debt so we could finally start off our married lives in a relatively stable place and be able to maybe finally go on that honeymoon we never got to go on, or take our first real vacation as a couple that wasn't just a couple of days or a weekend trip.
