We’re dedicated to others in our work and to each other at home. We’re moving to VT because Alex is trans and got jobs helping a rural town.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met on Bumble and had our first date at a combination cafe and used book/record store. Meg was about to start grad school, Alex was about to start law school. We played several games of chess. Neither is particularly good, but Meg won all of them.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Alex had agreed to DD for Meg and her fellow sociology grad students when they went out to drink and celebrate the end of their first semester. They went to the local drag show at Zephyr in Kent, where Meg had a couple drinks and asked Alex, “What would you say if I said I like liked you?” to try to goad him into saying “I love you” first. Both did say it. Then, on the way home. Meg threw up out the side of Alex’s car. He showered her off, took care of her dogs, and put her to bed.
What would you do with $20,000?We would put $10,000 toward paying off Alex’s law school student loans. We want to start a family in 3-5 years and this would go a long way toward helping us build the necessary stability. We would donate the other $10,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative. We are both passionate about facilitating structural reform in the American criminal justice system to build a more equitable future.
