We met on a dating app for hookups when Alby was in Las Vegas for training. We’ve been together for 8 years and just got engaged
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met after I had survived what felt like three lifetimes. Trauma, exile, rebuilding. I was certain no one would ever truly see me again—until he did. Alby saw the wreckage and stayed. Not to fix it, but to share it. Our love didn’t begin with fireworks. It began with a quiet, steady hand reaching out when the world had gone cold. And I said yes to life again.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? At Alby’s school, I’d worked with his boss to stage the proposal. They told him he needed to give a speech to a student. They rolled out the red carpet they usually use for actual seniors. Alby was completely unaware. The student walked across the carpet, accepted the applause, clocked out “for the last time,” then turned and said: “Just kidding. This is a surprise. Today’s surprise is for Mr. Alby.” And just then, his favorite song. I walked down the red carpet, toward the love of my life.
What would you do with $20,000?20,000 would be for our dream wedding and honeymoon
