Ae and Adelina were serendipitously put on the same competitive billiards league one random summer day! With all other team members being 60+, the quirky pair immediately bonded over perreo, queerness and our favorite pool ball on the table! We spent months as friends, enjoying late night talks outside the pool hall, and subtle flirting every Wednesday night for League. Adelina was immediately drawn to Ae’s radiance, communal care, and colorful presence!!

Ae and I celebrated our first Christmas together, closer to Valentine’s as I had a concussion! Snuggled up in a festive, blanket nest with cocoa and classic songs, silly holiday outfits and tender, thoughtfu, hand-made gifts. We held eachother and SOBBED as we gave and received gifts that shared just how deep our knowing, celebration and acknowledgement of the other is. We laid in the scattered wrapping scraps for hours, tears lit by the twinkle lights and YouTube fireplace in the background. ❣️

Ae and Adelina have both been working multiple jobs continuously since high school. We would use this money to backpack around the world - working on local farms, teaching joyful movement, and being TOGETHER with each other in safe, beautiful places! This money would give us the opportunity to chase the joy of our lives - present, expansive love and adventure!
