We have grown together over the last 5 years. We have seen each other struggle, cry, lose, but also gain, succeed, and overcome!
We would like to thank you for supporting Adan and Silvia in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Through unknowingly passing each other in the hallways in high school, to being in the same places years later, we briefly met at a local kickboxing place. Months later we met again through mutual friends, and we were finally able to begin our love journey!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Becoming engaged has been our favorite memory. Although it sounds simple, our engagement bliss only lasted two days because Adan lost his family home in a fire two days after. It taught us that life if short and it taught us to cherish every special moment and embrace the good and bad.
What would you do with $20,000?It would significantly help us recover from the house fire and relieve some of the debt we’ve accrued. This money would grant us a brighter future to transition us into our own home. Having lost so much, we were forced to put our original wedding plans on hold/ and early elopement without knowing if we’d ever be able to have the wedding we always dreamt of. Not only would we use this money for our sake but we would also donate money to help other families who have lost their home to a fire.
